Dumbest. Policy. Ever.

And this is exactly how it is written:

“All requests for service generated through the 911 system will receive an emergency response, with lights and sirens.”

But what can you expect these days? Competence is becoming more and more rare.

Comments

  1. Just trying to keep up with the ridiculousness of MPDS and them making more and more responses red lights and sirens.

  2. Who the fuck came up with that?

  3. I’m going to say it again – if FDNY, not exactly a bastion of progressive change, can figure out how to reduce Code 3 responses, then no one has any excuse left.

  4. EMTWinona says:

    911… I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.

  5. BadgerMedic says:

I can’t even come up with a response to that.

  6. I’ve said this before and I’ll no doubt say it again. To the public and politicians, EMS is solely about response times. Very few service managers can resist the incredible pressure for short response times. There are only two ways to achieve that. Many more units or make all calls LAS responses.

Guess which is cheaper and easier to do?
