Often times while you are working you may find your chair’s armrests get in the way. Whether you are sitting down in your chair or standing up to take a break, arm rests always tend to get in the way. If your workstation is ergonomically set up to have a keyboard tray installed underneath your desk, having a chair with armrests can be even more troublesome in trying to find a way to fit them beneath both your desk and your keyboard tray. Having armrests on a chair will also defeat the ergonomic benefits of using a keyboard tray because it will make you type in an unnatural position leading to strain on your wrists. Sliding into an armless chair is effortless, and getting in and out of your chair will no longer seem like a chore. Reaching for things near or on your desk will also be much simpler without arms being in the way.
That question was asked of me recently by a pastor we were working with. He had contacted us regarding the worship seating needs of his church, he was operating with a very tight budget, and he wanted a church chair that featured a high degree of quality. As we conversed, I suggested one chair solution that we have placed in several churches that performs very well, possesses great quality and is easy on the budget. The pastor though, even though he loved the price and was pleased with the specifications of the chair, uttered the words above.
If that’s the case, then we should buy good workplace chairs, right? If we look at the market today, we can see that most companies already offer chairs that are said to be ergonomically correct. This means that they are designed especially for the human body. But aside from ergonomics, what else makes a good office chair? A good office chair gives comfort, One of the first things we usually consider before buying an work chair is whether it is comfortable or not. This is important because we are going to sit on that chair for almost the entire day everyday and who would want to sit on something uncomfortable for that long? It has also been found that comfortable seats can affect our work productivity.
Armless chairs also have a smaller footprint making them great space-savers. Often when office chairs have arms there is the possibility that the chair may not fit properly under your desk which can lead to the hassle of having to return the chair if it does not work for your workplace. Having to measure your desk height along with finding the exact measurements of the chair’s seat, arm, and overall height can be tedious and difficult. Buying an armless office chair eliminates this hassle with their ability to fit underneath just about any work station or desk without having to worry about taking precise measurements.
Steel Folding Chairs, A great middle-of-the-range alternative for your seating needs are steel folding chairs. Tough and durable like wood, yet cheaper, these chairs will look stylish in any situation. Like aluminum chairs, you can choose from a range of colors to coordinate with your meeting hall, home or office. Steel is well-known for being extra durable and therefore is a number one choice if you are looking for a middle-of-the-range chair.
Material, If what you need are some sturdy chairs that will last a lifetime, wooden chairs can be a great solution. In school halls you will find chairs that date back many eras and decades. Wood is tough and strong, and as long as it is only ever used indoors, the lifespan is extremely long. Wood however is not the cheapest material for your chairs, and these days there are many more economical alternatives available. Metal Folding Chairs, A modern-day alternative to the traditional folding wooden chair is metal folding chairs. They can be a great addition to any home or garden and can be color coordinated with the rest of your home. Also used as the perfect addition to your office, sleek metal chairs will look classy whilst saving space in the work place.
